To see what Jaime is seeing today!!

Hey Jaime, Did you know that Santorini is an active volcano? Some historians believe that Atlantis is buried near Santorini, and it was destroyed by a volcanic eruption. Sail away, fast!

Pat and Lisa, you were in Santorini too, weren't you?

Wish I was there, or Jakarta, or somewhere other than O'Hare airport!

Yes we spent several days in Santorini. Really must go to Akrotiri which is a very old archeological dig that has been going on for years. Rent a vespa and head down there. There are also some great beaches there. One is a black sand beach. Can;t remember the name of it right now but it has a bunch of shops, bars and eating establishments across the street from the beach.

There is also a place to eat across from the Acropolis called Dionysus which has killer nigh views of the Acropolis all lit up at night. Must also go to Plaka is you are spending anymore time in Athens. Plaka is the place to be at night. Good eats, bars, views, etc.

The historians who believe that Santorini is Atlantis believe it is Akrotiri. We have some great classic pictures of Akrotiri.
