Better Aussie Pics

A couple things about Australia I noticed. Walking around Sydney is much like England. Although I realize they were/are a colony, I did not expect it to be so much like it. June 1st was the first day of winter there. It was strange flying from Summer to winter. The leaves were falling from the trees and it felt like it does when it is "the holidays" here. It was very strange. Loved it though.

Pat, How old is their colonized history? Do they have the older buildings, and the beautiful churches that date back to the 11th century (etc.) like England? What about the food, fish and chips? I would love to visit there before I am no longer at Continental, that and New Zealand. I might have to pick your brain.

There is a pretty good history here http://www.australia-migration.com/page/History/238

Saw some fish-n-chips but not to many. Other than that, food is much like English. Was not overly impressed. Much better in Thailand and Hong Kong.
